Join Missouri River Relief at "Summers @ Mizzou"

Missouri River Relief is proud to be hosting a very special summer camp for students aged 14-18. It's called Meet the "Big Muddy" - Missouri River Academy and it's part of the "Summers @ Mizzou" summer camp hosted by MU Extension and the 4-H Center for Youth Development. There are 30 slots available, first come first serve.

Meet the "Big Muddy" - Missouri River Academy
Do you like water and wildlife? We invite you to learn about the nation's longest river, the Missouri River. Participants will learn about the ecology, history and biology of aquatic life in the large river ecosystem from experts in the field. Learn how biologists study the fish that swim the muddy depths, how to analyze water quality as part of the Stream Team program, how scientists track migrating birds and how conservationists manage floodplains and wetlands.
If river conditions allow, participants will explore the Missouri River by boat, helping Missouri River Relief clean up trash from the river banks and floodplains. This program focuses on hands-on learning and field experiences.
Students will be staying in university dorms and attending four days of workshops, river excursions and service learning projects.
