Big Muddy Art - Benefit Auction March 12, 2016

Featuring "McBaine Bur Oak—Sunset" by Fulton artist Brian Mahieu and a live auction with works by an impressive list of Missouri River valley artists.
Event is FREE and open to the public!
- 7:00 p.m. - Doors Open - Music by Paul Weber - FREE Refreshments donated by Les Bourgeois Vineyards, Logboat Brewing and Missouri River Relief
- 7:30 p.m. - Sealed Bid Auction of "McBaine Bur Oak - Sunset" by Brian Mahieu ends
- 7:35 p.m. - Screening of "Big Tree at McBaine" short films by Orr Street Productions
- 7:45-9 p.m. - Live Auction of works by other Missouri River valley artists.
Missouri River Relief will be sharing the proceeds with the artists.
This benefit art auction will support an expansion of Missouri River Relief's education partnership with Columbia Public Schools, organizing on-the-river workshops with teachers, a summer river excursion with students and an after-school program in five Columbia schools this fall called "Missouri River All-Stars".

"McBaine Bur Oak - Sunset" - plein air oil on canvas by Brian Mahieu, 15 July 15, 8:15 pm, 40"x30" Value: $2500
The signature piece of the Big Muddy Art Auction is a plein-air oil painting of the state champion McBaine Bur Oak tree by Fulton artist Brian Mahieu (pictured above). This painting will be auctioned in a "sealed bid" process. Interested buyers can submit a bid here, at Orr Street Studios where the painting is now on display, or the evening of the event.

How does a sealed bid auction work?
Simple. Submit a bid of what you want to pay for the piece. Add a "Tie-Breaker" bid and your contact information. The evening of the auction, we will announce the high bid winner! (You do NOT have to be present to win). You can either place your bid online, at Orr Street Studios next to the painting on display, or the night of the auction (before 7:30 p.m.)
