Support Team MoDak!

A couple of our great volunteers, Josh & Sarah Pennington, are taking on the Missouri River 340 race this summer. These folks like a challenge, but in addition to taking on the race itself, they want to use their adventure to raise funds for Missouri River Relief!

This couple grew up in Missouri and North Dakota, both states that the Missouri River runs through. So they're calling their race team Team MoDak. You can find more at their race website Support the Big Muddy.

Their goal is to raise $10 per mile of the race: $3,400!

It's easy to donate. Just click the "Donate" button on the left hand side of the Missouri River Relief website, enter your information, then check the "340 Team MoDak Pledge" box. After you click "Submit", you'll be taken to our PayPal page where you can make your donation.

Or, you can send a check to Missouri River Relief
PO Box 463
Columbia, MO  65205

Make sure to write in the memo: "Go Team MoDak!"

The Missouri River 340 is the longest non-stop ultramarathon paddling race in the world. From Kansas City to St. Charles, 340 boats will be putting themselves at the mercy of the river, the elements and their own physical limitations to paddle across the state of Missouri. More than any event in recent memory, this race is doing more to draw attention to the Missouri River. For more info, check out the race website»

Missouri River Relief is proud to be a part of this race, bringing our boats and crews to serve as safety boats for the racers. The event is a huge collaboration between dozens of communities, hundreds of volunteers and many racers, their families and friends.

Thanks to the Penningtons for using their adventure to support our cause and bring attention to our work cleaning up the Missouri River!
