Race to the Dome and Mo River Rendezvous 2013
Two Great River Events in One!

This was the 4th Annual Race to the Dome, followed by a great music and biking combination: the Mo River Rendezvous.
We had 123 boats and 167 paddlers competing in 22 divisions this year. 
Paddlers could choose between a 15.8 or 26.6 mile race course, starting in either Providence or Hartsburg. It was a perfect day on the river. A little blustery but beautiful.
The main sponsor of the event was Missouri American Water, and all proceeds benefit Missouri River Relief. The event is organized by Missouri River Relief volunteer board member Patrick Lynn.
Plus, as the first racers began arriving at Serenity Point at Noren Access across from Jefferson City, the music started. Four bands played all afternoon under the shade of the big cottonwoods and willows. Called the Mo River Rendezvous, this event was organized by Red Wheel Bike Shop with help from Jefferson City Parks and Recreation.
The award ceremony and the music took place on the super nice stage brought by Jeff City Parks. Check out the Race to the Dome website for the race results and the winners in each division.
The whole event was a beautiful showcase for the potential of Serenity Point at Noren Access, which has become an oasis next to the river, and a successful fundraiser for Missouri River Relief.
