Presentation in St. Joseph March 18

Come and learn about the Missouri River Relief clean-up project at the beautiful Remington Nature Center overlooking the Missouri River in St. Joseph, MO.

Steve Schnarr, event organizer for Missouri River Relief, will give a talk and slideshow about the Missouri River Relief Clean-up Project at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18 at the nature center.

Missouri River Relief will be hosting a Missouri River clean-up on Saturday, June 26 just upstream of Remington at the French Bottom Boat Ramp. The first Missouri River Relief clean-up in St. Joseph since 2004, the event will bring together the community to spend a morning removing trash from the banks and floodplains of the Missouri River.

Steve’s presentation will focus on the history of Missouri River Relief, what will be happening on June 26, and how community members can help out in this effort. Click here for more details on the clean-up.

He’ll be joined by a biologist from the Missouri Dept. of Conservation, discussing current Missouri River research, and MDC's involvement in the June 26th event.
