A couple weeks ago we sent out a request for donations to all of our hard-working volunteer friends. The response was overwhelming! We've already received over $2,600 in donations from throughout the Missouri River basin. Thank you!

Great Clean-up in Siouxland!

Thanks to a huge effort by many community groups, we had a great clean-up in the tri-state Siouxland area. Over 80 volunteers removed 2.4 tons of junk from the banks of the Missouri River!

Public Comment meetings on MRAPS scheduled

The process of the Missouri River Authorized Purposes Study (MRAPS) is entering its next phase, the public scoping process. There will be 30 public comment open-house meetings throughout the basin, and 11 tribal meetings.  Click here for a list of scheduled open-house meetings»

This is the first time since the 1944 passage of the Pick/Sloan Flood Control Act that the authorized purposes of the management of the Missouri River have been revisited. It's important that citizens, tribes, businesses and other stakeholders in the basin submit their comments to the process.

More Races on River in 2010

After the success of the Missouri River 340 race, some new races have been added to the Missouri River this year. The "Race to the Dome" is one of the newest. Scheduled for July 3, it's a 16-mile paddle from Hartsburg to Jefferson City, and it benefits Missouri River Relief.
